3 Ways To Get Sponsors To Notice You

Corporations want to sponsors BRANDS, not fly by night I have a business card but no business type of folks. Here are the top 3 ways to get corporate sponsors to pay attention to your brand:

  1. Have a clear, defined target market.  This is important because if their goal is to reach more women and you serve teens, it’s not going to be a good fit. Worse, if you say your products and services are for anyone and everyone, that doesn’t show them that you are THE ANSWER for helping them reach more women.
  2. Offer more than an event.  An event is enticing but you’ll make your sponsorship opportunity more attractive if you give them access to more of the ways you serve your target market. Think your newsletters, social media, etc.
  3. Show a high level of engagement.  The number of followers you have on social media and the size of your list is less important to a potential sponsor than how engaged your followers are.  If your followers and folks on your list click when you say click, share when you say share, and buy when you say buy your potential sponsor will assume they will do the same for them.

Rate yourself on a scale of 1-5 with how solid you are on the above 3 areas.  Focus your efforts and priorities for the next 60 days on any area you score below a 4 so you get yourself in a better position to get a YES from the sponsors you want to work with.
